This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of Academic Liaison Librarians at the University of the Year for Student Experience (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019). You will be based in the library's Disruptive Media Learning Lab, a collaborative environment, working alongside education researchers and academic staff. You will be a confident, proactive, and adaptable individual responsible for liaison with academic staff, students and researchers in the School of Computing, Electronics and Maths. You will also help to enrich our resource provision through management of the relevant subject resources and associated budgets. You will plan and deliver in-person teaching as well as creating learning resources online. Creative and enthusiastic about applying learning technologies to the delivery of innovative library support, you will be open to experimenting with new ideas in teaching and learning.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to university-wide initiatives and project work to further service development and in support of the Disruptive Media Learning Lab. You will ideally possess (or be willing to work towards) a recognised qualification in librarianship or information management, with experience of delivering high quality information services and project work. The ability to facilitate learning and deliver effective embedded information literacy, and confidence in teaching small and large groups is essential. A proactive attitude, a passion for teaching, confidence with technology and the desire to provide an excellent service to our stakeholders are the key attributes required.
