Archivist & Records Manager
New College Library & Archives, University of Oxford is seeking an experienced archivist – with competence in medieval and early modern palaeography, a working knowledge of Latin, good IT skills, and competence in automated cataloguing to current international standards – to administer and develop the historic and modern archives of one of the preeminent Oxford colleges, for the benefit of users and potential users of the collections.
Applicants should have demonstrable knowledge of collections development, care, security, conservation, and reprographic issues, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ARA-accredited postgraduate qualification in archives/records management. Hours of work are 35 per week, usually Monday to Friday, and the salary will be equivalent to University Grade 7, £33,309 - £40,927; benefits include membership of the college’s Senior Common Room, contributory pension scheme (USS), and free lunches.
