Being an assessor for CILIP Professional Registration is an important part of supporting CILIP to maintain robust standards ensuring the Library and Information workforce is developing, maintaining professionalism and thriving. Being an assessor is a great way to contribute to and help develop the future of the profession.   

As an assessor you will: 

• Work with another assessor to examine evidence-based portfolios and CPD logs to verify whether the candidate meets the required standards for Professional Registration 
• Join a team of assessors developing your own skills in assessment
• Work closely with a network of peers contributing to the maintenance and development of standards within the profession
• Easily illustrate your own continuing commitment to the development of the profession
