Assistant Librarian (Discovery and Systems)

Role Overview:
The AA Library supports all the teaching and research programmes within the AA School of Architecture, as well as providing a loan and reference service to Members. We are seeking a professionally qualified Librarian with experience of working in a library, preferably an academic or research library. The post-holder must have a flexible approach, and is eager to participate in delivering a first class Library and information service.
The post-holder will participate in the day-to-day smooth running of the Library, managing collections as well as student/staff/member requests and enquiries. The post-holder will work with a friendly and enthusiastic team of five Library staff, alongside student assistants. This role includes administering the Discovery platform; ensuring efficient and reliable access to the Library’s digital collections as well as IT services provided by the Library. This role also involves working as the administrator for the library management system, OpenAthens and other online platforms.
