The Assistant Librarian is an important member of the Library team, helping to develop and maintain the collections and services that support the academic work of the College. The position offers the opportunity to develop the next phase of your career across a broad range of librarianship.
Key characteristics, abilities and experience crucial to fulfilling the responsibilities of this role are:
- Collections management experience, including acquisition and cataloguing
- Good working knowledge of Library Management Systems, ideally Aleph or Alma
- Experience of supervising a reading room and related services, ideal in a higher education setting
- Comfortable with library technology, writing for the web and social media
