CILIP North West Member Network is the voice for CILIP members in the North West, representing our members on national matters and offering support and professional development opportunities whether they live in Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, the Isle of Man, Greater Manchester or Merseyside. We at CILIP North West welcome any CILIP Member volunteers who live, work or study in the North West!
We are currently looking for an Awards Officer to join our friendly and supportive committee.
Purpose
To oversee and manage awards for the North West Members Network.
Key Responsibilities
- To co-ordinate awards on behalf of the North West Members Network including publicising award offers and informing applicants of the outcome.
- To identify suitable events and conferences for bursaries
- To liaise with the Committee to consider applications.
- To provide information to the committee about awards.
- To maintain a log of past awards to feed into the annual report.
- To assist the treasurer by managing awards’ finances.
- To promote the membership and benefits of North West Members Network and CILIP within the library and information profession.
Time Commitment
- It is anticipated you will attend three committee meetings per year in the North West. These meetings are currently taking place online.
- As a committee member it is expected that you will attend the AGM and members day. The AGM and members day is held annually in various locations around the North West.
- The amount of time this role takes up will vary and may be 1-2 hours per week and during awards offers it is likely to increase.
