Would you like to develop your financial skills and sector knowledge by serving as CILIP Midlands next co-Chairperson?
Purpose of the Role: To act as a joint lead person for the CILIP Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- To jointly co-ordinate the activities of CILIP Midlands - The library and information network- and ensure it meets its core offer and annual priorities as set out in the business plan.
- To act as joint spokesperson for CILIP Midlands and where appropriate, represent CILIP Midlands at CILIP meetings and external events and where necessary, organise alternative representatives.
- To chair bi-monthly Training Group and Network meetings.
- To work with other officers and committee members to prepare the business plan and annual report.
- To maintain an effective overview of the financial position of CILIP Midlands liaising with Treasurer as required.
- To be the key link with CILIP, liaising with the Midlands Members Council Representative to ensure professional issues relating to members of CILIP Midlands are raised.
- To promote the membership and benefits of CILIP within the library and information community across the Midlands.
Time Commitment: Flexible hours, typically up to 12 per year for emails and 4 network and training group meetings per year (usually online).
