CILIP’s Academic and Research Libraries Group (ARLG) provides a focus and forum for the professional concerns and interests of everyone working in academic (HE and FE) or research libraries. The Yorkshire & Humberside regional committee plan and deliver informal professional development events at local universities and colleges: recent themes have included ‘Measuring Impact’, ‘Transition from FE to HE’ and ‘Things you wish you’d learned at Library School’.
The committee aims to meet four times per year for business (twice face-to-face and twice online), and host an event every 6 months. All reasonable expenses (e.g. travel, catering) are covered by CILIP.
We have up to 3 vacancies for ordinary members, which have arisen as established members step up to officer roles. We are looking for individuals who are well organised, good communicators and enthusiastic networkers. You need to be a member of CILIP or willing to join.
