CDEG Committee vacancy – Digital Champion

We are looking for a new member with excellent skills in web administration, website editing, including advanced understanding of HTML and website construction, knowledge of web accessibility and usability issues as well as an interest in diversity, inclusion, equality, and social justice matters to help out occasionally with CDEG webpage maintenance and design. Community, Diversity and Community Group - Digital Champion: Role Description and Requirements

 

Main Task

To develop and maintain the CDEG’s web presence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the Networks web presence using the CILIP YM system
  2. Produce new content and write it in an interesting, appealing, and suitable manner appropriate for the web and other digital media.
  3. Ensure the content of the Network’s website is accurate and up-to-date.
  4. Keep up to date with YM training materials provided by CILIP via the CILIP Champions group/ongoing training webinars/digital clinics.
  5. Liaise with committee members regarding the development of web content.
  6. Attend committee meetings and /training at CILIP HQ.

Time Commitment

  1. It is anticipated you will attend 3 committee meetings per year.
  2. It is expected that you will attend the AGM and members day. The AGM and members day is held annually.
  3. For the role of Digital Champion allow for a minimum of two to three hours per week - allowing for more time during the planning and run up to an event or committee activity.
  4. The Digital Champion will normally be elected for two years.
