USW Library Services offers a wide range of services and collections to support the teaching, learning and research activities of the University, with a strong focus on a positive student experience, a digital first collection development approach and continuous service improvement and innovation
You will join a friendly team of Faculty Librarians within Academic Services based at Pontypridd.
As a Faculty Librarian you will be responsible for liaising with academic staff, students and researchers in the subject areas of business, finance and accountancy. You will design and deliver information literacy skills teaching, manage and promote appropriate learning resources in all formats and provide high quality information and advice services through virtual chat and one to one appointments.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and self- motivated librarian with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong understanding of the needs of library users and an interest in technological developments in libraries. You will have a qualification in a library or information science discipline or equivalent experience in an academic library or information service.
This is a full-time fixed term post covering maternity leave for a period of 8 months.
The post is available as a secondment opportunity.
If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges. If you are an internal professional services candidate, you will be continue to be employed by the University of South Wales.
