Christ’s College is seeking to recruit a graduate trainee in the College Library to start in September 2019. Joining a friendly library team, this represents an excellent opportunity for a graduate who has decided on a career in Library and Information Services to acquire a basic grounding in library work in prestigious College surroundings. There will be opportunities to visit other libraries in Cambridge and further afield and to participate in training events.
The post is established as a fixed-term contract of one year from 1 September 2019 to 31 August 2020. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week), in general 9am to 5.15pm, Monday to Friday, although some flexibility to occasionally work outside of these hours is also required. The salary is paid at points 21- 23 on the University’s single pay spine, currently equating to £18,189- £19,202 pa. Other benefits include 36 days’ annual leave pa (inclusive of bank holidays); membership of a contributory occupational pension scheme and free meals in College when on duty.
