The College proposes to appoint, from September 2020 for one year, a graduate trainee to undertake a variety of tasks in the College Library. The post is open to graduates fully committed to embarking on a postgraduate course leading to a qualification as a librarian or information professional. The salary will be £19,612 per annum (university scale grade 2.6) subject to upward review.
Training will be given in all aspects of the Library’s activities, including acquisitions, cataloguing, reader services, and journals management. There will also be opportunities to gain experience with special collections and in conservation.
As well as training received in post, the appointee will be able throughout the year to participate in visits and events arranged for SCONUL trainees by Oxford University Library Services.
