Founded in 1841, The London Library is one of the world's leading literary institutions with an outstanding collection of books and resources.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Library in a senior role during a period of change. The Library is seeking to upgrade its library management system to a next generation system, and this post will be key in delivering this, embedding new workflows throughout the Library, and bringing staff to a high level of self-sufficiency with the system. The post-holder will also drive forward the completion of all remaining retrospective cataloguing, so that the entire collection is findable through the catalogue. We will also be reviewing our acquisitions policy, which may result in our exploring ways to offer new content formats to members.
You must have a Degree, preferably in a subject within the Arts and Humanities as well as a Post-graduate qualification or equivalent in librarianship or information science. You should have proven experience of managing online cataloguing and of using library management systems at a high level.
