The Society is a register charity and the senior national learned society in Britain concerned with the conservation, research and dissemination of knowledge of the material past (http://www.sal.org.uk/) The Society consist of just over 3,000 Fellows, drawn from scholars and practitioners working across the cultural heritage sector.
The Head of Library and Museum Collections is a key member of the Society's Senior Management Team and is responsible for delivering the strategic and operational leadership of the Library and Museum Collections in order to deliver high quality services together with research resources to support the Society's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will build on work of their predecessor to implement our strategic plan to make our word-famous library and museum collections more visible and accessible. This is a challenging role at a time of exciting change for the Society.
