The role will comprise a blend of working from home and at our campuses in Bath.
About you (requirements)
You will have significant experience of managing a library or information service in an academic environment, and have demonstrable experience of managing change effectively. You will have strong leadership and financial management skills, a keen focus on enhancing the student experience, and the ability to apply innovative solutions to complex issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be adept at working with stakeholders across a complex organisation, harnessing effective working relationships and managing a large and varied workload.
Bath Spa University is focused on creative enterprise and guided by our four values of respect, inclusivity, collaboration and sustainability. We teach around 8,000 students on a set of campuses around Bath, with most being located at Newton Park, including a listed Georgian house and grounds, or Locksbrook, our city-centre art and design campus. We also have provision in London, and work with partners at other sites in the UK and overseas. Our research centres focus on creative industries and humanities.
Our purpose is to challenge our students and staff to realise their talent and thrive, for their own benefit and for the wider good. By doing this we will think and make the world better.
The Head of Library and Learning Services leads a team within the wider Student Experience unit, which includes Learning Innovation and Skills, Estates, Student Wellbeing Services, and Careers and Employability.
