The post holder reports to the Director of Library Services and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping to develop and monitor service direction, quality and impact. They provide strategic leadership and direction to the Open Scholarship and Content Management team to ensure effective and efficient provision of physical and digital content and collections and library discovery systems to support learning, teaching and research. This includes oversight of the institutional research repository and Research Collections.   

They proactively provide expertise and advice to the University in implementing the vision for Open Scholarship and will have a good understanding of national and international initiatives, mandates and policies.

Library Services operates out of The Hive, a ground-breaking, fully integrated academic and public library, run in partnership with Worcestershire County Council, which provides services to all members of the University and community.

From 1 August 2023, the salary range for this role will increase to £42,978 - £54,395, with the opportunity to progress to £59,422.
