This is a fantastic role working with a small team for a forward-thinking and ambitious charity. The role needs someone with a hand’s-on, positive attitude to getting things done, and working collaboratively to review and refresh our processes / ways-of-working to support our teams and our work. The role needs someone adaptive, flexible and able to lead/manage change. We’re looking for an excellent HR professional who champions staff development and ED&I to improve performance.
The Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) is a London-based charity with a friendly, hardworking team supporting our members in the UK and internationally.
We are seeking an HR Manager to lead and manage our internal HR function and to provide advice, guidance and support to the Senior Leadership Team and staff across the Charity. After a comprehensive Transformation Programme, we are looking for someone who can help us invest in our talent and bring out the best in our people.
The ideal candidate will have a CIPD qualification and will possess integrity, resilience and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management and external stakeholders. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting a strong and positive working culture
- Promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across our team
- Reviewing and refreshing our contractual arrangements
- Ensuring our policies are up-to-date and acted upon
- Leading the implementation of a Pay Review
- Supporting recruitment, people development and talent management
This is a full-time, permanent post, 35 hours per week. We support hybrid working for all staff, subject to agreement. The starting salary is £41,136 per annum.
