We are currently seeking an Information Officer for our Birmingham office.
The Information Officer will support and assist the Information Services team in providing research services and information to clients, internal patent and trade mark attorneys and other colleagues across the business. The role will involve conducting patent subject matter searches, requiring an undergraduate degree in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) in addition to a postgraduate degree in Library and Information Science. Training on patent searching will be provided.
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a STEM subject, and at least 1 year’s work experience in a legal or business information unit. They should also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a calm and methodical approach to work. The role would ideally suit someone who is looking to develop their career in library and information science following the recent completion of a CILIP recognised post graduate degree.
