This is an exciting opportunity to take on the role of Information Resources Specialist for Acquisitions working in the Information Resources Team where you will work with other specialists and line managing our Information Assistants who support the range of work in the team.

You will lead on acquisitions processes for books, developing workflows that make best use of our systems, staff and supplier services, and you will liaise with suppliers and our finance department to manage the invoices and payment for all of our resources. You will have operational responsibility for managing the resources budget including allocating funds and monitoring of budgets through the year and work in support of the Director for Information Resources in developing approaches to budget predictions and allocation of resources.

You will need to have a logical approach and strong budgetary and numerical skills. You should also have experience of working in libraries preferably on the acquisition of library materials and be familiar with procurement and the library supply chain.  

You will also be enthusiastic, customer focused and confident in working with others both internally and externally and be keen to act as a driver and facilitator of change in a constantly evolving environment.
