IT and Digital Support Specialist
Bloomsbury, Central London. £30-36k + excellent benefits
CILIP is the UK library and information association. We are the only chartered body in the world dedicated to uniting, supporting and advocating for information professionals and librarians – the people who help the world make better decisions.
We have been through a significant period of digital and IT change, and with clear ambitions to become digital by default and data driven, we are preparing to revolutionise our digital and IT function to ensure that our technology is fit-for-purpose, business focussed and that we are able to adopt an agile approach to operations and product development.
We are now looking for an IT and Digital Support Specialist to join our IT and Digital team in London to support our vision. We’re looking for a candidate who can not only provide full IT user, networking and infrastructure support, but also someone who understands that technology is fundamentally driven by the needs of the business, not the technology.
The role of IT and Digital Support Specialist will focus on three core areas:
- Technical support across CILIP’s infrastructure, network, systems and users
- Supporting the Head of Digital & IT and the Systems Implementation Specialist and web and digital colleagues with system migration, implementation and development
- Developing, implementing and embedding a DevOps/ITIL Change Management hybrid structure across the organisation to ensure robust, low risk IT and digital change
The candidate must have advanced level technical skills and knowledge, but must equally have strong business acumen and be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
The candidate will not need prior DevOps or ITIL Change Management experience, but they will possess the right level of business knowledge and enthusiasm to learn rapidly and use their creative skills with support from the Head of Digital & IT. The post holder will have the opportunity to contribute towards and shape the implementation of agile working practices, digital, IT and product development and change management.
This exciting new role is a perfect opportunity for an IT Support Administrator who is looking to take the next step in their career or somebody already operating at this level looking to expand their knowledge, develop new skills and implement fundamental improvements to the way CILIP approaches and handles change management.
