We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with experience in administration, managing data and customer service in a changing environment, to join Library Services’ Content, Licensing and Intellectual Property team.
You will be involved in the acquisition, evaluation and management of all online and physical library content to meet the diverse needs of all Open University students, researchers and other staff. This includes document supply and inter-library lending services to OU academics. You will help to create and maintain detailed text and numerical data about resources throughout the cycle of purchase and contract renewal. You will contribute to testing accessibility of content and communicate with suppliers as well as providing support to users of our content-related services.
Skills and experience
You will be educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent), or have equivalent professional experience. You will have proven competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and strong communication skills. You will be a confident communicator and be committed to providing excellent customer service. You will have an excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow agreed procedures thoughtfully by questioning and dealing with anomalies as they arise in often complex administrative processes.

Typically, the position is based at the OU's Milton Keynes campus, in easy ready of Milton Keynes central railway station (32 minutes from London Euston) and the M1 and A5. as a temporary measure, we are requiring people to work from hom, until such times as government restrictions and advice change and allow them to work from the stated location of the role.
