Full Year equivalent annual salary circa £22,697 (£10,479 per annum pro-rata for part time, term time hours) depending on experience, plus benefits including generous contributory pension scheme and life assurance.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Library Assistant to support our existing team. The Library assistant contributes to the overall daily maintenance and operation of the Library, at times taking sole responsibility for the operation of the Library and the provision of a quality learning environment. Other responsibilities include cataloguing of books and periodicals, maintenance of library books and issuing and return of resources.
The successful candidate will have had previous Library experience and ideally will hold a Library and Information Skills qualification. Additional requirements are proficient IT skills and experience with Library database systems and online resources.
Hours are 21 per week during term time, worked Monday to Friday, plus two weeks during School holidays. Daily starting and finishing times are Monday and Wednesday 12-6pm (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch), Tuesday and Thursday 12.15-2.45pm and Friday 10am – 4pm (with 1 hour unpaid lunch).
