Job Description

Tate Library & Archive requires an inspirational and experienced team manager to lead the future development of Tate’s incredible Library collection and staff team. The Library Collections and Engagement Manager will play a leading role in raising the profile of the Library collection internally and externally in accordance with Tate’s strategic goals. We are looking for an individual who has a comprehensive subject knowledge of fine art or the history of art, experience of managing a specialist library collection, and a proven track record of promoting library collections through innovative practices. Knowledge of the latest research developments in the wider Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) sector, and how they are applied to everyday practice would be an asset.

The successful postholder will take overall responsibility, in collaboration with the Senior Management Team (SMT), for the development of the department’s visitor engagement programme ensuring excellent customer care, quality and consistency of service provision in the Reading Rooms.
