Library Customer Services Manager
Grade 7, £33,797 - £40,322 per annum
The Library’s Customer Services Team, under the leadership of the Head of Customer Services, provide all front-line (face to face and virtual) customer, visitor and enquiry services. They ensure service across our estate which includes 21st century buildings providing library and study facilities, and listed buildings housing archives and special collections. Our venues (including the nationally recognised Oriental Museum), provide space for education, learning, research and outreach to a wide range of stakeholders including the local community. The Customer Services Team has a head count of 70.
The post-holder will play a key role in the management, development and delivery of high quality front-line customer services across all Library sites, working in collaboration with colleagues with responsibility for buildings and facilities. Leading a team of Library supervisors who manage staff working across multiple sites, over seven days a week, including 24/7 opening hours during term-time in the Bill Bryson Library. The post-holder will be responsible for the key relationships with internal partners including IT, Catering, Estates and Facilities and Student Wellbeing.
