The role 

We are currently looking for a Library Graduate trainee with a commitment a career in Library and Information to support the delivery of our services to students and staff. We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and versatile persons to join this vibrant team.

A key part of your role will be working with the team to provide essential advice, guidance and support to distance learning students and staff using a variety of tools including web chat, phone, email. 

You will play a vital role in the accessibility testing of third-party material and Library content, applying University administrative processes and procedures.

You will also be supporting insight work Library initiatives to enhance the student experience.

The role presents an ideal opportunity to gain a wide variety of relevant library and information experience prior to studying for a post graduate qualification.


Skills and experience 

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in your work.

You will be comfortable with technology, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to make effective use of a wide range of IT applications

You will also have well developed customer service skills.
