About The Role
The successful candidate will work with internal and external partners to develop the library as a hub of community and cultural activity. The purpose is to engage and involve customers, volunteers and stakeholders in the development and delivery of the service.
You will develop and deliver relevant, cost-effective and modern library services that support national and local priorities with particular reference to promoting digital inclusion, health and wellbeing; providing seamless access to a range of information and services.
The post-holder will be responsible for the leadership, development and management of diverse teams including volunteers, at times across more than one location, in order to contribute to the wider development of Buckinghamshire Libraries and Culture.
Previous experience of working with the public, leading a team and delivering service objectives is essential. We will only consider applicants who are educated to minimum GCSE / NVQ 2 standard or equivalent.
Also essential to the role is a proven ability to understand and train others on relevant processes, systems and procedures. It is critical that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a calm and professional demeanor and efficiency when working under time pressure.
