Start date: 29th August 2023
WM College is currently looking to recruit an experienced Library Manager to take responsibility for our iconic, historic Library which is one of the College’s cherished gems. This beautiful space, with vaulted ceiling and original oak panelling and shelving, provides a quiet space to read, study and be inspired. Dating back to 1904, the Library houses a wide range of resources including course books, books for pleasure, e-books, a small selection of journals, plus computer facilities.
It will undergo a complete upgrade during summer 2023. Whilst retaining all its original features, it will be updated with better layout for reading and computers, new lighting, double glazing, refurbishment of the parquet flooring and shelving, redecoration and more.
The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the relaunch and will have the opportunity to develop and embed new ways of working for the Library team, our staff and most importantly our learners.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and has the vision to successfully promote the Library space and its resources to encourage greater use. This will include developing a series of workshops and events throughout the year.
