Based at our Central Library at College Green, you will be responsible for planning and managing the strategic and technical development of ICT in the Library Service in liaison with the Library Management Team and corporate ICT.  You will also be responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of library-based technology systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To formulate and recommend changes in library IT support systems which contribute to the continuous improvement in services, leading on projects and contributing to cross-service staff project groups on IT related issues
  • To ensure that the day-to-day operational management of library service IT systems effectively supports front-line service needs
  • To have a service-wide co-ordinating role for advising on feasibility, project implementation and potential resources, working with the Library Management Team to deliver solutions
