You will be leading and managing the strategy, planning, development and delivery of Library Services for staff and students primarily in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences; Health and Social Care (HSC) staff in Northern Ireland; and staff in the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI).
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Library Services team, with the successful candidate ensuring the delivery of high quality, user-focused and responsive services. This is a rewarding opportunity, with the chance to engage with a number of key stakeholders within Health and social care and develop the provision across Northern Ireland.
You will be managing a team of approximately 35 staff based across different sites and driving customer excellence within the service.

The successful candidate must have:
• Library qualification with a degree or a postgraduate qualification in librarianship, information studies or information management
• Significant (minimum 5 years) recent and relevant management and leadership experience in a library management role
• Experience of managing and developing a significant team (or teams) of staff
• Demonstrable experience of exploiting IT applications successfully in a Library setting
• Experience of managing and controlling significant budgets and an understanding of financial management procedures
