A leading global law firm has a new 12 month contract for a Resources Assistant. As part of the Research Services department you will assist in providing expert research services to the practice and business teams and working closely with acquisitions/resources specialists.
Key responsibilities include:
·books and journal renewals
·handling requests for materials
·cataloguing books and journals
·loose leaf updating
·reorganising physical stock
To be considered for this role you will have:
·experience of managing items within a physical library
·cataloguing experience according to AACR2 standards
·knowledge of Dewey and/or Moys classification schemes
·strong Microsoft Office skills
·good communication skills
·an Information/Library qualification or equivalent experience
This role would also suit a candidate who would like to go on to do an Information qualification in the future and is looking for suitable sector experience.
