Keele University is renowned for its exciting approach to higher education, innovative research, beautiful campus, strong community spirit and excellent student experience. With a turnover in excess of £170 million, over 10,000 students and a total staff of approximately 2000, the University provides high quality teaching across a wide range of academic and vocational subjects and promotes world-class research. Further information can be found at

You will be part of the Library's Academic Services team, and play a key role in developing and delivering library and information services to the Keele research community. Key responsibilities include the management and maintenance of our EPrints research repositories for publications and datasets, advising researchers on routes to open access publication, and using Keele's systems to comply with REF requirements. You will develop and deliver training, for example on literature searching, reference management and other scholarly communication themes. You will also be involved in the management of the Library's Digitisation Service, our accessible formats service and reading lists.

You will have a degree (or equivalent), plus a professional qualification in library or information management and recent, relevant experience in an academic library or research support setting. An in-depth understanding of OA, the role of institutional repositories and the changing scholarly communications landscape are essential. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and so be able to liaise effectively with academic staff, researchers and professional services colleagues. You will have a high level of digital literacy, be self-motivated and able to demonstrate a strong commitment to improving service quality.

The University is committed to operating flexible working practices wherever possible.
