The opportunity

Do you have an understanding of digital technology in the arts and extensive experience with tech hardware and creative software? Join our friendly Library Services team at Central Saint Martins (CSM), part of University of the Arts London (UAL). Our busy and popular library is located over three floors overlooking Granary Square near King’s Cross and St. Pancras stations.

As a Senior Advisor - Library Digital, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high quality and user-focused services, supporting the academic activities of the University.

You will work with local colleagues and line manage staff to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of library digital services at CSM, overseeing and enhancing processes to provide an excellent service to users, facilitating a welcoming and accessible environment.

You will be a member of the cross-site Library Digital Group, enhancing our service-wide digital resources, including experimenting with innovative tech and developing relevant user education.

Generally, the working pattern is 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours until 18:15 during term time and vacation periods.

UAL Library Services adopts a hybrid working approach, balancing home and onsite work.

About you

We seek a candidate with a degree-level qualification and/or relevant digital skills, with experience in a library and open access IT environment or similar.

You will be a proficient user of software such as Adobe Creative Suite and a confident user of hardware such as printers and scanners.

With excellent teamwork skills, you will also be capable of line managing supportively and able to motivate others.
