TITLE: Senior Content Specialist (Analyst)
This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week
Reporting directly to the Head of Content and Digital Services the Senior Content Specialist (Analyst) will lead the Digital Services Team. The team is responsible for procuring and managing all subscription services within the library; e-journals, print journals, e-book packages, databases and streaming services. The team also manages digitisations and provides accessible resources to students.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of journal and database acquisition, renewal and cancellation processes and have practical experience of access and authentication.
A key part of the role is using strong analytical skills to assess usage and demonstrate value for money across the whole of Content and Digital Services.
The Library and Archives Service is currently finalising the service strategy for the next five years. As part of which the service will be assessing and revising all workflows. There will be opportunities to develop project management skills by leading projects across the service.
The library uses the technologies Alma, Primo, Talis Aspire and Talis Digitised Content. The post holder will be expected to liaise with IT services and the wider Library and Archives service.
