Weekend Librarian


Term time only

£34,943.00 - £42,914.00 per annum (pro rata)


The Weekend Librarian is responsible for leading a team of Library Services staff, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality customer-focused library and open access IT services.

You will support learning, teaching and research activities, participating in information dissemination and the provision of enquiry services, including roaming support and involvement in virtual enquiry services as needed. 

Normal work hours are Saturdays 15.45pm-20.15pm and Sundays 09.45am-16.00pm (incl. an unpaid lunch break), for up to 38 weeks a year. Any remaining hours are to be worked by agreement, usually as a regular 3-hour shift on Mondays or Fridays.

Your profile

With a degree in Library and Information Management or equivalent at Graduate or Postgraduate level, you will have demonstrable experience of working in library or a customer service environment.
