South Swindon Parish Council

Since 2017 the Parish Council has managed Old Town Library in Swindon. Following a refurbishment of the children’s library area and an increase in the library’s opening hours it became the fastest growing community library in Swindon. In 2023 the Parish Council’s library service opened a new library in Badbury Park- the first new community library in Swindon for more than 20 years. Both libraries have a motivated and experienced group of staff and volunteers who help deliver the library service and support the large number of library events that take place.
