We are University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Weston Area Health NHS Trust joined together as one ‘Outstanding’ organisation on 1st April 2020. Our newly merged Trust has a combined workforce of over 13,000 staff, aiming to deliver exceptional local services for local people and specialist services across the South West and beyond. Together, we form one of the largest NHS trusts in the country.
Our 13,000+ strong workforce increases our diversity, capacity and resilience, allowing for greater development of opportunities for our staff across a much wider portfolio of services and geographical area, strengthening the knowledge base, peer support and skills and experience of all our employees.
With strong links to the University of Bristol and University of West of England we are the major medical research and training centre in the region, using findings to continually improve our patient care and attracting the highest calibre clinical staff from across the UK.
The merger also means an even better experience for our patients - ensuring people from North Somerset and surrounding areas will be able to be seen and treated in their local hospital, and improving access to specialist services in both Bristol and Weston through better use of an expanded workforce, estates and facilities.
The Trust is committed to investing in and caring for all of our staff. We will support you in maintaining and improving your health and wellbeing, as well as your career development through management and training support - developing exceptional people for exceptional careers.
We hope that you will decide to join us and become part of this exciting journey, helping us to shape our future together.
